Directive related to companies engaged in foreign exchange
Nepal Rastra Bank has amended the Foreign Exchange Transaction Licensing and Supervision Bylaw, 2077 which allows different firms, and companies such as hotels, airlines, travel agencies, cargo companies, etc. to obtain a license from NRB to engage in foreign exchange transaction activities.
Automated Route for Foreign Direct Investment
On 2nd October 2023, the Nepal Government, Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies published a notice regarding Foreign Direct Investment made through the Automated Route as per Section 42 (1) of the Foreign Investment and Technology Transfer Act, 2075 in the Nepal Gazette.
Any proposed industry with a maximum of NPR. 50,00,00,000/- (Fifty Crore Rupees) approx. 3.7 Million USD as Authorized Capital can be incorporated through the Automated Route. There will be no threshold of a minimum of 2,00,00,000/- (Two Crore Rupees) for the Information Technology industry.

Company Registration without Government Fee
As an effort to promote economic growth, foster entrepreneurship, and encourage investment in Nepal, the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies has implemented a temporary measure to support existing and aspiring entrepreneurs.
The government has decided to waive the Company Incorporation and Capital Increment Fees for any Private Company, Public Company, Foreign Branch Office, or Liaison Office.
Please note that this waiver is temporary and applicable for the fiscal year 2080/2081.
Cyber Resilience Guidelines by Nepal Rastra Bank
